About Me

Some paths are chosen. Others choose us. This is mine.

The Loss That Changed Everything

My beloved husband collapsed from a cardiac arrest while out on a routine jog, leaving him with a severe hypoxic brain injury and in a minimally conscious state.

For six months, I searched every possible path to bring him back, diving deep into the science of neuroplasticity, hoping to find a way to ignite new synaptic pathways and reawaken the parts of his brain that had been starved of oxygen. But the restrictions of Covid meant I couldn’t be by his side to carry it through. I believe hospital neglect played its part. In the end, I lost him without ever getting to say goodbye.

My husband was passionate about functional health, it’s how we raised our three children, but he had never quite learned how to manage the enemy of stress. If only I’d known then what I know now, I believe he would still be here.

Learning to manage stress, cortisol, and inflammation became the foundation of everything I wanted to learn and share.

From Grief to Purpose

What followed his loss was the hardest chapter of my life, and also, unexpectedly, the start of a new one.

I began studying at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, a certified functional health course: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. It became a way of turning grief into purpose, while helping me on my own healing journey.

The Portal of Breath

But what catapulted my path of self-discovery more than anything was breathwork. It came after IIN, and turned out to be something far more than a technique.

It became a portal into my own spiritual journey, opening the door to heightened states of consciousness I had never explored before. It also brought things full circle in a way I never expected: the neuroscience behind breathwork, how it can rewire the brain and light up new neural pathways, was the very thing I had once researched so desperately trying to save my husband.

There’s something about conscious breathing, CO2 retention, sound frequency entrainment, somatic movement, structured reintegration, that reaches places talk therapy alone can’t always touch. I’ve watched it help people release trauma, find peace, resilience, and a way back to themselves, just as it helped me.

Where I Am Now

Today I’m a certified practitioner of Alchemy: Rewire, and the founder of Soul Oasis. Everything I offer, the breathwork, the coaching, the way I hold space, is built on what I lived through and what I learned trying to survive it.

This work isn’t theoretical for me. It’s the path I walked to come home to myself, and it’s the path I now hold open for others.

Prevention

At Soul Oasis, my holistic integrative approach empowers individuals to identify the root causes of their ailments, delving into lifestyle conditioning to facilitate a transformative journey towards lasting well-being.

I aspire to be a beacon of support for those seeking a comprehensive approach to health, one that goes beyond the conventional model and encompasses the entirety of an individual’s well being.
